Alice A. Martin women’s creative studio

In 2016-2017 the University received another new workshop, the 4th creative workshop bearing the name of Alice A. Martin, which was founded with the donations of American Maecenases Rex and Alice Martins. The Martins are direct heirs of the American Corporation NIBCO, having a centennial history, and they govern the mentioned corporation presently. Their charity foundation implements charitable activities in many directions. Support of Alice A. Martin women’s creative studio is their first project implemented in Georgia. Young ethnomusicologist Teona Rukhadze.

29.01.1982. Ethnomusicologist, Doctor of Arts, specialist at the Georgian Folk Music Department of Tbilisi State Conservatoire, lecturer of the Conservatoire, coordinator at the archive and Library of the State Folklore Centre of Georgia. In 2008-2012 was a presenter at FolkRadio and author of several programs, has participated in National and International scientific conferences, participates in folk music expeditions, ethnomusicological projects and presentations.
