In 1990, he graduated from the Faculty of Musicology of the Tbilisi State Conservatory named after Vano Sarajishvili. In 2014, he graduated from the Georgian Technical University, defended his thesis on the topic: “The history of recording Georgian church hymns and the Georgian musical system” and was awarded the degree of Doctor of Social Sciences. In 1988-2007, he was the founder and leader of the choir of Anchiskhati Cathedral; Since 1991, he has been a teacher of church singing at the Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary; From 1993 to the present, he is a teacher of the Department of Folklore of the Tbilisi State Conservatory named after Vano Sarajishvili; He is a member of the Union of Composers of Georgia and one of the founders and members of the Hymn Center at the Patriarchate of Georgia; Since 2006, he has been the head of the ensemble “Sakhioba” and the choir of Tbilisi’s Father David Cathedral.
