The university’s primary donor is the Georgian Chanting Foundation. The university’s success is largely defined by the foundation’s support. Restoration and reinforcement of the university’s research component as well as infrastructure was really managed through the efforts of this foundation.

In the 2016­/17 academic year, the university was given Music Technology Studio with equipment at international standards through a private contribution from the Georgian Chanting Foundation and its general director Nana Gotua.

Here the students learn notation software, gain mastery of the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of recording acoustic music, restore old and new archival material, and participate in expeditions conducted in various regions within Georgia.
