March 15th of 2023 was held the meeting with Kabardian-Balkaret musicians Bulat Khalilov and Timur Kodzoko. Students and faculty/visiting staff familiarized with audio/video materials recorded by Ored Recordings. The collaboration between the Georgian traditional bowed instrument chunir and the Circassian traditional bowed instrument shichepshin was particularly important for the prospect of future cooperation. After the meeting, the possibilities of implementing a joint creative project on the topic of instrumental performance in the Caucasus region have emerged. Students familiarized with recordings of North Caucasian traditional music, processes associated with it and the current situation in the field of traditional music.
