Teacher of the Georgian folk song

Lotbar of the folk choir, bachelor of church music and church musicology, painting teacher and regent Beka Kovziashvili studied at the art school named after Jacob Nikoladze in Tbilisi, where he joined the choir of local amateurs, and soon became a member of the ensemble “Sakhioba”. In 1995-2002, he studied at the E.Mikeladze Music College, majoring in piano. 2003-2007 he continued his studies at the Tbilisi Art School named after Jacob Nikoladze. Since 2007, he has been studying at the Apollon Kutateladze Tbilisi State Art Academy, at the Faculty of Fine Arts Painting. He is a graduate of the Giorgi Mtatsmindeli Higher School of Church Singing (2009-2013).
Beka is a singer of St. George Kashueti Cathedral in Tbilisi and has been a member of “Sakhiobas” since 2008. In 2009-2010, he was the regent of the choir of St. Nicholas Cathedral. In 2010-2012, he regented the choir of the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos in Didubi. In 2013-2015, he was in Tbilisi, Saburtalo District, Z. Regent of the choir of the Cathedral of the Holy Cross located on Fanaskertel Street. Since 2016, he has been working at the vocal-theatre studio “Blue Horses”, where he is a teacher of Georgian church hymns and folk songs. From 2018 to the present day, he is the singer of the Kashueti Cathedral named after St. George. Since its foundation (2012) until today, you are a member and soloist of the group “Dro”.
In 2011, he took part in the scientific conference held at the Tbilisi Theological Academy called “Issues of Georgian traditional music”, where he presented the topic “Some opinions about Georgian labor songs”.
In 2015, he formed the folk ensemble “Untitled”.

He is a teacher of a higher music school.
Expeditions:
In 2008, at his own expense, he organized expeditions to the following places: Kartli, Kaspi district (Erhatsminda village), Kakheti, Gurjaani district (Gurjaani), Kvarli district (Shilda village).
In 2009, he was on an expedition with the famous Lotbar Andro Simashvili.
In 2010, he was in Tusheti, where Vanka Melaidze recorded.
