Teacher of the course Academic music
In 1993, she graduated from the faculty of Composition and Musicology of V. Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatoire and was awarded the qualification of musicologist and music teacher.
In 1993-2008, she was a music literature teacher at the Arakishvili #1 music high school of Tbilisi. Since 1997, she has been a music teacher at the Tbilisi private school “Georgian School”. In 2011, she was an invited expert on grading at the National Curriculum and Assessment Center of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia. Since the same year, she has been a music trainer at the National Center for Professional Development of Teachers. In 2013-2014, Tamar Tavshavadze was a music teacher at Newton Free School. In 2014, she worked on a monitoring of the implementation of the national curriculum in the classroom. In 2017-2018, she was an invited expert on grading at the National Curriculum and Assessment Center of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia. Since 2019, she has been leading the lecture course – “Academic Music” at the Giorgi Mtatsmindeli Higher School of Church Singing and, from 2020 – the course “Methods of teaching music literature” on the teacher training program at V. Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatoire. In 2020-2022, she was a music subject expert of the National Center for professional development of teachers. In 2021, she was an invited expert of grading at the National Curriculum and Assessment Center of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia. Since 2023, she has been an expert in the authorization of general educational institutions.
