On September 26, a Serbian traditional music workshop was held at the University of Chant. The workshop was conducted by Serbian musicologist Elena Jovanovich with the group “Topola”.
Jelena Jovanovich – Ethnomusicologist and singer of traditional songs, is Principal Research Fellow in the Institute of Musicology of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts and the Corresponding Member of this Academy (Belgrade, Serbia). Fields of work: traditional music in central Serbia, vocal tradition of Serbs in Romanian Banat, performing traditional music, Yugoslav popular music with folklore motives in the 1970s. One of the founders and conductors of the female ensemble Moba (since the 1993), conducts vocal workshops for Serbian traditional music in the country and in the abroad.
