A scientific conference of students “Issues of Christian Theology and Musicology” was held at the University of Chant, dedicated to the memory of the famous Georgian musicologist, Professor Manana Andriadze. She founded the department of sacred music at the Tbilisi State Conservatory and created the research school of Georgian chanting.
It has become a tradition to hold this conference every year at the University of Chant. Participation is a great experience for all students and is very important for their scientific research in the future.
This year, Professor Givi Andriadze awarded participant Lida Liparteliani with the Manana Andriadze’s Award and certificate for the research, preservation and promotion of Georgian traditional music.
We express special thanks to the dean of the University of Chant, Prof. Tamar Chkheidze, for the initiation and organization of the conference, as well as to the head of the educational process management service, Ekaterine Kazarashvili, for organizing the event.
