November 4-6 of 2024 was held the Batumi Giorgi Garaqanidze 17th International Festival of Folk and Church Music. Traditionally, the students choir of the University of Chant participated in the concerts of the festival.
Within the framework of the festival, Tamar Chkheidze, professor and the dean of the faculty of the University of Chant, and associate professor Teona Rukhadze presented the papers at the scientific conference.
Ethnomusicologists invited from different countries of the world took part in the event. At the opening ceremony, was presented a new publication – the catalog of folk audio recordings – preserved at Radio Adjara archive and prepared for the publication at the studio of University of Chant.
